When shaped as cooperative processes, they can strengthen vibrant city centres, encourage a holistic view of urban development, support sustainable mobility and reinforce local democracy. At the same time, they unfold between professional requirements, political realities and the expectations of the urban community.

Integrated sustainable urban development STEK 2035

Format: stakeholder workshops, project advisory board, action days
Heidelberg’s Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Concept 2035 sets the strategic framework for the city’s long-term development. Its implementation requires participation that builds ownership and has a lasting impact.
Over a period of three years, I supported the city’s interdisciplinary project team in designing and implementing the participation strategy: engaging key stakeholders, reaching out in public spaces and applying creative formats — complemented by in-depth workshops on key transformation areas.

Women, power, local politics in the South Caucasus

Women in Azerbaijan were granted the right to vote as early as 1918 — yet today they remain significantly underrepresented in local politics. As an advisor on municipal development and local democracy, I supported the National Committee for Women in Azerbaijan in designing and implementing a mentoring programme for female local politicians, drawing on the experience of the German Helene Weber-Kolleg.

MöWa mobil – Shaping the Mobility Transition Through Dialogue
Role: Dialogue facilitation, change process support
Format: participation workshops with citizens, stakeholders, politics and business
How can Mörfelden-Walldorf shape the mobility transition? What does the urban community want to achieve — and what should change in concrete terms?
These questions are being addressed by the City of Mörfelden-Walldorf as part of its Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan “MöWa mobil.” As process advisor and facilitator, I support the municipal team in designing a planning process that is clearly geared towards implementation — one that builds broad support and sets tangible priorities for sustainable mobility.
