Dialogue Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement
understanding, co-creation, support decision making

I design and facilitate dialogue processes that foster understanding and make development possible.
From citizen dialogues to co-creative workshops.
Whether working with small or large groups, in-person or online, my approach is always tailored to the context, the participants and the respective phase of the process.
Depending on the context, different methods take centre stage.
Inform & understand
Here, transparency, contextual clarity and exchange are key. I structure expert input, facilitate dialogue and make sure that questions, perspectives and concerns become visible — between citizens, public administration, political actors and the professional community.
Formats: citizen information sessions, public dialogue events, professional forums
Examples: information events on topics such as the heat transition, mobility development or urban planning
Gathering & Developing Perspectives
When cities and organisations face fundamental decision points, I support dialogue processes in which shared future visions, strategic goals and directions for action emerge. In large groups, I create structures that enable exchange while providing orientation.
Methods: large-group facilitation, co-creative formats
Examples: visioning processes, regional conferences, strategic future workshops
Collaborate & Create
In cooperative workshops and work sessions, actors from administration, politics, civil society and networks work together to solve clearly defined questions
Methods: design thinking, systemic approaches, gamification
Examples: workshops on site or neighbourhood development, exchange formats within city networks
Preparing Recommendations & Decisions
Structured dialogue formats such as citizens’ assemblies or workshops with political decision-makers foster deeper engagement and lead to well-grounded recommendations.
Methods: mediation, systemic consensus for decisions, appreciative inquiery
Examples: citizens’ forums on public space design or project prioritisation, workshops to prepare political decisions

Future workshop: Canetti House in Bulgaria

Role: Dialogue facilitation
Format: Future workshop
Focus: Culture, literature and urban development
The Canetti House is evolving into a centre for cultural memory and literature. In an international future workshop, I designed and facilitated a co-creative development process with 20 cultural actors from Ruse (Bulgaria), Germany and Austria, in close collaboration with the board of the International Elias Canetti Society.

Integrated sustainable urban development STEK 2035

Role: Change process support, dialogue facilitation
Format: stakeholder workshops, project advisory board, action days
Heidelberg’s Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Concept 2035 sets the strategic framework for the city’s long-term development. Its implementation requires participation that builds ownership and has a lasting impact.
Over a period of three years, I supported the city’s interdisciplinary project team in designing and implementing the participation strategy: engaging key stakeholders, reaching out in public spaces and applying creative formats — complemented by in-depth workshops on key transformation areas.
